What happens during a gynecology evaluation?

Your provider reviews your symptoms, menstrual and pregnancy history, medications, medical history, and reproductive goals.

Depending on your needs, evaluation may include:

• A physical or pelvic examination
• Blood, urine, pregnancy, or infection testing
• Pap or HPV testing
• Pelvic or transvaginal ultrasound
• Colposcopy, hysteroscopy, or endometrial sampling

Not every patient requires every examination or test.
